If I'd known that working with footage from this new SONY camera would be such a pain in the ***, I'd have hired HDV instead. Has anyone in the UK managed to download and install the PDZ-KP1 Version 2.1 Transfer Software Plug-in for FCP? I clicked on the link in the FCP Help and it took me to SONY US site. I had to log in to access and download the software, but without giving it a ZIP code and telling it which US State I live in, it wouldn't talk to me. I did email their support people but needless to say, I have heard nothing back. I have also downloaded the Clip Browser software from the UK site, but can find no mention of the Transport Plug-in. Bye the way, the Clip Browser software claims to allow you to convert the MP4 clips for use in an NLE system - it ain't Mac compatible! It's obviously PC software with a Mac(ish) UI. - Be warned, XDCAM EX is a real pain.
