Problem: Acrobat crashes on clicking the attach to email icon

When you try to attach a PDF to email using the Attach to Email icon in Acrobat DC on macOS Mojave, Acrobat crashes with the following error message: “Acrobat Pro DC quit unexpectedly”.

This usually happens due to one of the following reasons:

  • Insufficient permission on the SendMail folder
  • The SendMail folder is corrupted
  1. From the menu bar on the desktop, click Go > Go to Folder.

  4. Now close Acrobat and relaunch it. (It'll re-create the SendMail folder, and that should fix the problem.)
